Privacy Policy
1. What this site collects
This is an informational website. You don't create an account here, and we don't sell anyone's data. In the ordinary course of running the site we may process:
- Server & request logs — standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) our hosting provider records to serve the site, keep it available, and prevent abuse.
- What you send us — if you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you write, and keep it to respond and for our records.
We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
2. Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies of its own. Nothing here is needed to make the page work, and we set nothing to track you. (Our products may use strictly-necessary cookies to sign you in — see each product's own privacy policy.)
We do offer optional, cookieless analytics — Cloudflare Web Analytics — so we can see which pages are worth keeping. It is aggregate and privacy-friendly: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, and no attempt to identify you. It loads only if you explicitly allow it when we ask; choosing “No thanks” means the script is never requested at all. You can change your mind at any time via Cookie settings in the footer.
The only thing we store on your device is a single browser localStorage entry recording the choice you made, so we don't ask again.
3. Who we share with
We share information only with the providers we need to run this site and reply to you:
- Netlify — website hosting
- Cloudflare — DNS, and Web Analytics (cookieless, aggregate) which loads only if you opt in — see Section 2
- Email providers — to receive and reply to messages you send us
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Dimsyl, our users, or others.
4. Our products
Software we build — such as Scout — is governed by that product's own terms and privacy policy, which explain how the data you submit to it (for Scout, your code, account, and billing) is handled. This website policy does not govern those products.
5. Your rights & choices
You can email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests.
6. Children
This site is not directed to, and not intended for, anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
7. International users
Dimsyl is operated from the United States. By using this site you understand your information may be processed in the United States and the regions our providers operate.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the company evolves. Changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
